Rowboat and open sea

With the boat you fish on the water, collect flotsam and can sail all the way to the open sea.

At Jonte’s on Sunny Beach you rent a rowboat: 30 🐚 for 15 minutes. The first ride of the day is free.
Your own boat costs 5,000 🐚 plus materials.
To board, press V or click or tap the boat.

Steer with W A S D or the arrow keys. The bow turns toward the pressed direction. On a phone, use the joystick.
If you bump into something, steer sideways or back. If you’re stuck, the boat backs off a little on its own after a moment.
You simply sail over rocks below the surface. Only what sticks out of the water is in your way.
The anchor holds the boat in place.

Speed, seats, range, storage: each area has its own tiers.
Seats: the rowboat (2) becomes a dinghy (3) and a fishing boat (4), then a trawler (6) and a yacht (8). The boat visibly grows with each step.
The trawler costs 45,000 🐚 and 10 💎, the yacht 110,000 🐚 and 30 💎, plus materials each.
Passengers join by invitation, as friends, or with “everyone may”. Invitations only go out while there are free seats.
Invited but further away? Say yes anyway. Your seat is then reserved, an arrow shows you the shore next to the boat, and you hop in there automatically.
Range grows from the coast through the island waters to the open sea and finally “storm-proof”.

Crates drift in the water. The boat collects them in its storage, and they open when you dock: shells, now and then pearls and materials.
A crate near the island holds 35 to 80 🐚, an open-sea chest 80 to 180 🐚. New ones drift in every 2.5 and 3 minutes respectively.
In a thunderstorm, only a storm-proof boat can go out to the open sea. Otherwise the game warns you shortly before and takes you home.
