Our biggest update yet: a bigger island, your own hut, a mine, jobs, clubs, a huge wardrobe and prettier areas.
A bigger island
New
- Quarters: Harbour Quarter, Ore Mountain, Hut Bay and Wild Trail – everything you know is still in its place.
- Mountain lake: six new species live only here, and the ore carp only bites at dusk.
- Neighbours: Foreman Hannes at Ore Mountain and Carpenter Jupp in Hut Bay need your help.
- Signposts: discover one and you can later travel for free between all the ones you know.
- Island map: press M to see the whole island, traders, friends and signposts.
- Sprint: hold Shift or pull the stick past its edge, and you’ll run 1.6 times as fast.
Improved
- Graphics: in the ⋯ menu, choose Automatic, Low, Medium, High or Ultra – per device.
- Performance: the island runs more smoothly on older phones (Automatic graphics setting).
- Sky: sun, moon, stars, sunrise glow and drifting clouds, for example in photo mode.
- Water: from “Medium” a gentle swell rolls in with whitecaps, from “High” the sea mirrors the sky and shore.
- Island life: flocks of birds, butterflies, boats on the horizon, plants in the wind and redesigned houses.
- Sounds: every quarter sounds different, from the harbour to the Wild Trail.
New things to do
New
- Beach Hut: from fishing level 8, Carpenter Jupp builds you a hut that you furnish on a grid from above.
- Display tanks: put freshly caught fish in a tank – visitors pay admission, and the till holds 48 hours.
- Job board: at the harbour office, Hella has 3 daily jobs, odd jobs and up to 16 errands for you every day.
- Mine: from fishing level 8, you mine ore in Ore Mountain, forge tools and fish the mine lake on level 5.
- Daily mix: the first 20 minutes of each activity per day pay 25% more, and three activities earn a mix chest.
- Hut visits: drop by other huts from your friends list or a profile and leave a heart.
Improved
- Beach hut: the seaside villa adds an upper floor, a workshop, mounts of your catches and a giant tank.
- Mine: helmet, boots, firedamp, flooding, blasting in pairs, shared cart rides and 15 finds.
- Jobs: mending nets, the lighthouse night shift, three mine jobs and a daily group job for 2 to 4 people.
- Rested bonus: log out in your cosy hut and you collect up to 15 instead of 10 fish per hour.
- Task tips: every note on the job board has a tip button, and the memo note speaks up when you’re stuck.
- Show on the map: find deliveries, errand runs, photo errands and the gulls on the quay straight from the note.
Together and in style
New
- Fishing clubs: from fishing level 15 you can found a club with a crest – with a clubhouse on the village square and a weekly goal.
- Gifts: once a day, send friends or club members bait, furniture or materials along with a short message.
- Wardrobe: hairstyles, tops, back items, patterns, a second color, trails and almost 200 new pieces.
- Fashion shop: Fine on the west path has 6 pieces 25% off every day and turns gems into jewelry.
- Body emotes: wave, dance, bow and nine more moves are waiting in your emote wheel.
- Guestbook: others can write on your profile. You decide who – and can block troublemakers.
Improved
- Wardrobe: achievements, jobs, the mine, events and collections unlock pieces – including what you’ve already done.
- Outfits: save up to 5 looks and switch with one tap – your look counts on the island and on the board.
- Profile: redesigned, with tabs for overview, fishing world, achievements and guestbook.
New corners in the areas
New
- Cave and glacier: a crystal grotto, a passage to mine level 5, a seal colony, an ice rink and northern lights.
- Mangroves and open sea: canoes, Marie the trader in the stilt village, whales and dolphins and a weekly riddle in Smugglers’ Cove.
- New species: 16 fish, 4 each in the cave, glacier, mangroves and open sea – the encyclopedia now has 120 species.
Improved
- Light: on “High” and “Ultra”, a soft glow and a mood for each time of day give the island more depth.
- Areas: if you already know the cave or glacier, your next visit shows you once what’s new.
Welcome and help
New
- Arrival: new players arrive by ferry, and Grandpa Kutter guides them all the way to their first catch.
- Practice round: three short minigames against three bots, no friends needed and no pressure.
- Island guide: in the ⋯ menu under “Help” you’ll find everything to do on the island, plus an island ABC.
- Guides: every feature to read up on, in the menu under “Help” and as a web page.
- News: after an update, you see once what has changed – just like now.
- Privacy: a dedicated page explains what is stored – and you can download your data.
Improved
- Explainer cards: the first time you play a minigame, a card shows its goal and controls.
- Statistics: you can switch off usage statistics under “Privacy & data”.
- Chat and names: insults and links are blanked out, and inappropriate names are politely turned down.
- Start page: a small menu leads to news, guides and privacy.
Festivals and events
New
- Event calendar: shows which festival is on and what starts soon – with a countdown, in the menu on the start page, lobby and island.
- Announcement: 7 days before a season, and for planned island events, a small notice appears on the island.
- Start page: a slim notice names the next festival as soon as it’s on or starts within 14 days.
Board game
New
- Party board: Cart Flight, Conveyor belt, Snack-bar helper and four more – that makes 36 minigames.
- Games: with two accounts playing, every round earns 30 shells for the island, 1.5× in 1st place – full pay up to 6,000 a day, 40% after that.
- Game time: a clock shows how long the match has been running, and the awards screen shows the total time.
- Lobby: as the host, remove players via “⋯” – even mid-game and in a minigame marathon, when a bot takes over.
- Back to the game: closed the tab by accident? The start page takes you right back into your match.
Improved
- Customize minigames: tap “All” again to clear the list. You can start once 3 games are picked.
- Consolation prize: you get one earthworm per round for playing, 6 to 20 instead of always 6.
Fixed
- Duels: a tie in Mini Golf Chaos, Penguin Curling or Shell Game no longer costs anyone keys.
- Game pieces: they no longer vanish after effects like portals or rockets.
Minigames
Improved
- Jump Rope: the ground lights up at the right moment, you have 3 hearts and 10 seconds of grace at the start.
- Lava Limbo: you lean back much faster, a NOW line helps – and you lean back with S, ↓ or C.
- Mini Kart: items fly forward with R and backward with Q – bananas included.
- Mini Golf Chaos: up to 10 strokes, and the first shot is a ghost with no collisions.
- Paint Rush: power-ups show on the minimap and as arrows at the edge, and big rounds get a smaller arena.
- Penguin Curling: A/D steer, S brakes, W sweeps – the same for everyone; the replay shows the hit for longer.
Fixed
- Smash Arena: in Sudden Death, red circles show where bombs land, and they only go off after 0.6 seconds.
Job games
New
- Cart Flight: hold to build speed, let go to take off, land parallel for a turbo – in the caverns, a high track full of gems awaits.
- Conveyor belt: set the switches so every crate reaches the boat with the same flag – gulls get in the way, express crates count double.
- Snack-bar helper: grill fillets golden brown, fry up fries, pour lemonade to the line – and the gull wants your rolls.
- Lighthouse night shift: you steer the beam and guide boats from every direction into the harbour – left in the dark, they radio SOS.
- Pump water: keep the pressure in the green, set the valve to the fullest chamber and plug leaks with a rag.
- Set support beams: crank props up by eye under the sagging roof and drive the wedges in at the right moment.
Improved
- Mend nets: the net lies on the boat deck and the ropes are twisted lines – once it’s mended, a herring hops in.
- Job board: the job “Sort fish” is now called “Load cargo” – your ranks, titles and furniture stay.
At the pier and Ore Mountain
New
- Trap Kalle: he stands with his stack of traps on the Long Pier, explains how traps work and opens the trap window.
- Treasure chests: with a bit of luck there’s a rare cosmetic inside, like the eye patch or shoulder parrot – straight into your wardrobe.
Improved
- Long Pier: it’s wider now, and the pier head fits a good ten anglers – no more crowding next to Grandpa Kutter.
- Bait stand: Pit, Kalle’s apprentice, now sells the bait at “Bait & Tackle”.
- Treasure chests: the lid pops open and the loot appears piece by piece.
- Pithead yard: the mine entrance, ore trader and smelter now share one yard at the end of the ore path – with rails, a cart and Hannes by his notice board.
- Map: the minimap and island map show the pithead yard with the ore trader and smelter.
Fixed
- Harbour: the aquarium building site and the snack stand no longer jut into the harbour path, the brighter counter now faces the path, with a chalkboard out front.
- Boat: you no longer get stuck on an invisible edge next to the boat moored at the pier.
Boat, mine and hut
New
- Trawler and yacht: Jonte keeps building – your fishing boat becomes a trawler with 6 seats and finally a yacht with 8.
- Mine: mined veins grow back after 25 minutes – dig for as long as you like. The sign shows when a vein is full again.
- Cart ride: a cart waits at every stop – you see yourself and your fellow riders hop in and roll off.
- Village stories: with “📍 Show”, a bar, an arrow and a column of light guide you to every goal – automatically when you accept.
Improved
- Boat invitations: accepted from far away? Your seat is reserved – an arrow shows the shore, and you hop in there automatically.
- Huts: a little porch at the door, wider doorways and a rearranged show hut – the decorating view shows which squares stay clear.
- Leaving: you only leave huts and the clubhouse when you mean to – walk to the door, tap “Go outside” or press Enter in the porch.
- Driftwood: Jupp’s piles are silvery and bleached, sparkle nearby and count every piece – the third now lies in plain sight on the beach.
- Blasting together: you can blast the same spot again after 90 minutes (before: once a day).
Fixed
- Boats no longer get stuck on invisible rocks – you sail over anything below the surface. Bump into something and the boat backs off on its own.
- Cart ride: once on board, you’re no longer pulled back while waiting.
- Errands: the arrow on the errand note now points the right way, and the note moves up when another hint is already at the bottom.
- Tailor Fine no longer sits half sunk into the ground at night.
Earning without hard caps
Improved
- Odd jobs: after 40 a day, Hella keeps paying 60%, from 90 on 35% – never zero again.
- Errands: up to 16 notes a day, the first 12 at full pay, after that 50%.
- Board game: full pay up to 6,000 shells a day, 40% beyond that.
- Mine: only after 300 veins in a day does each further one give a little less ore – fresh again at midnight.
- Traps: the daily counter now resets at midnight German time, like all the others.
Island polish
Improved
- Traps: a full tier-1 trap yields about 60 instead of 30 shells, tier 5 about 330 – emptying it full adds 20%.
- Traps: the button sits at the top until you set your first one, and the window explains how it works.
- Flotsam and treasure: crates give 35–80 shells (open sea 80–180), treasure chests 2,500–5,000 and 4–9 pearls.
- Campfire and café: the fire lasts 10 instead of 5 minutes, coffee cuts the wait by 12% – with a timer showing.
- Pets: your pet visibly reacts in the care menu when you pet, play, wash or feed it.
- Paths: lanterns, signposts and benches no longer block the way, and the harbour path runs to the warehouse.
Fixed
- Boat: “Who’s steering?” and “Who are you taking along?” show the buttons again instead of object text.
- Workbench: no stray “null” under the list any more.
