Emotes
Show how you feel: twelve emojis above your head and twelve body emotes that make your character wave, dance or nod off.
How to use an emote
- On the island: E opens the emote wheel – on a phone, the 😀 button. The emojis sit in the ring (1 to 0 work directly too), the body emotes in the bar below.
- In the lobby and on the board: the same wheel with E or the 😀 button. Your body emotes sit above the quick phrases.
- Everyone nearby sees it. On the island an emote stays in its room: inside a cabin only the guests there see it.
The body emotes
Everyone has three from the start. You earn most of the others like clothes through an achievement, and Fine sells three in her fashion shop.

If you already have the achievement, the emote is there the next time you log in. Locked ones show a padlock in the wheel – tap one to see how to get it.
Good to know
- Sit down and Sleep last until you walk off. Wave, thumbs up, clap and facepalm also work while walking.
- While you’re fishing, only the symbol appears above your head. If your right hand holds the rod, the left one waves instead.
- On the board your character plays the body emotes too. In minigames you see their symbol as a bubble.
In photo mode
- In the “Pose” tab you pick a body emote. It loops until you pick another – plenty of time for the right shot.
- The show-off pose holds the catch from the catch info (last catch or record catch) as a little model in your hands.
