Rods
Seven rods are waiting – from the wooden rod to the star rod. Each catches heavier fish and helps in the fight.
The way to a new rod
- You start with the wooden rod. You build all the others at the workbench.
- You need enough caught fish, shells, materials and the passed Master Trial of the previous rod.
- In the equipment window, each locked rod shows its path: what’s still missing and how far along you are.

What better rods can do
- They catch heavier fish. Giants become more common.
- In the fight they pull harder, the catch zone widens and the line holds more tension.
- Better rods also raise the sale price of your catches.
Choosing
A new rod is picked automatically. In the equipment window (🎒 in the bar) you can pick another any time. Each rod has its own look, and passed trials decorate it visibly.
