Shells and pearls
Shells are the island’s everyday money; pearls are the rare currency for big purchases.
Shells 🐚
- You earn them mostly by selling fish to Frieda.
- You also get them from wish lists, traps, island events, treasure chests, flotsam from the boat and village quests.
- You spend them on bait, bigger buckets and backpacks, the workbench, traps, a boat, island upgrades and the Trading Post.
Pearls 💎
- Epic fish carry a pearl with a 15% chance, legendary ones always: 1 💎. Mythic ones give 3 💎.
- More pearls come from events, weekly wishes (5 💎 each), treasure chests and some village quests.
- You need pearls for the upper tiers of bucket, backpack, workbench, traps and boat – and for the Trading Post.
Where do I see my money?
The display at the top shows your shells and pearls. Every booking is recorded with its reason in your account’s ledger.
Good to know
- All currencies are earned by playing only – no real money.
- Players don’t trade money with each other.
- As a guest, everything only counts for the session. With an account, shells and pearls are kept.
