Events and special happenings
There’s always something going on at the island: team events, fish swarms, the Island Giant and seasonal festivals.
Island events
- The team starts events: competitions like the Big Weigh-In, Species Hunt, Target Fish Race, Team Fishing or Event Bingo – and cozy variants like Fish Flood, Golden Hour, Moon Night, Beach Cleanup or Pet Show.
- Events are announced on Island Radio and with a banner on the start page and in the waiting lobby.
- During an event, a bar shows the time and a live ranking shows the standings. At the end there’s an award ceremony at the village square.
Rewards
- Participants with an account get 150 🐚 from 3 catches on. The best get more, including pearls.
- Rewards grow with the length of the event.
- Guests fish along but get no rewards.
- The Golden Hour brings +25% luck and +25% shells for every catch.
Fish swarms
A few times an hour, the water bubbles somewhere and gulls circle. Island Radio and the map announce it. If you cast into the circle for 3 minutes, fish bite faster and more often the swarm’s favorite species.
The Island Giant
Once a day, in the late afternoon or evening, a giant shadow appears at the end of the pier. Island Radio announces it 10 minutes ahead. Everyone casting there reels in the same fish – together it goes faster. The reward depends on your contribution.
Seasons
From October 15 to November 2 it’s Halloween: carved pumpkins, lanterns, bats and special fish species that only exist then.
