Items and ranks
Items turn the game around: they protect, hurt, or speed you ahead.
Five ranks
You see the rank color on item buttons, in the shop and in the reward round. Higher ranks cost more in the shop.
| Rank | Examples |
|---|---|
| S · Legendary | Surprise Box, Warp Crystal |
| A · Epic | Player Swap, Rocket, Magnet |
| B · Rare | Target Die, Thundercloud, Shield |
| C · Uncommon | Boxing Glove, Frost Spell, Landmine |
| D · Common | Healing Potion, Antidote, Hunting Rifle |
Using items
- Use an item before rolling. Your bag holds at most 3.
- If your bag is full, you get replacement keys instead – the higher the rank, the more.
- A Shield blocks the next damage, theft or hostile item effect.
Reward round
After every board minigame, everyone opens a chest. The item’s rank is drawn based on your minigame place: winners have the best odds, but even last place can pull something legendary.
With the “Catch-up help” option, players in last place get slightly better odds.
Where items come from
- Gift spaces, events, the wheel of fortune and the shop.
- Starting items and item rain, if the host turns them on in the rules.
