Fish traps

Traps collect for you around the clock – even when you’re not playing. You empty them on the spot.

Setting and emptying

  • Kalle stands with his traps on the Long Pier – talk to him and the trap window opens.
  • Open traps with N, the 🛟 button at the top or via the ⋯ menu. As long as you haven’t set one yet, the button sits right at the top.
  • Press “Put out now” and click (on a phone: tap) the water near you: sea, pier, pond or brook. If the spot doesn’t work, the game tells you why.
  • You can own up to 5 traps; the first is free.
  • To set, empty and upgrade, you need to stand nearby (about 12 meters).
  • Whatever doesn’t fit in your backpack stays in the trap.

Others see your buoys while you’re on the island.

What’s inside

  • Mostly shells – they go straight to your account when you empty the trap. A full tier-1 trap yields about 60 🐚, a tier-5 trap about 330 🐚.
  • Full-trap bonus: emptying a full trap gives +20% shells and an extra find on top. At the top of the window you see what all your traps are worth right now.
  • Per day, trap shells count in full up to 25,000 🐚, after that only half. You’ll only notice if you empty them around the clock – you get the most by emptying a trap as soon as it’s full.
  • Plus crayfish, shrimp, curios and, very rarely, a pet egg.
  • Kalle buys crayfish. You can hand them to him while emptying.

How fast?

Each tier is full after about 60 minutes. Higher tiers hold more and catch more per hour.

Upgrades also need crayfish. A full trap stops collecting – so empty it regularly.

More traps

The second trap costs 2,000 🐚, the fifth 70,000 🐚 and 15 💎. As a guest, you get one trap for the session.
