Winter Magic
From December 1 to January 6, snow covers the island: ice-hole fishing, an advent calendar, winter furniture and New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Snow, lights and ice
- The ground is covered in snow, it snows softly, and fairy lights hang between the lanterns of the village, pier and harbour.
- There’s a Christmas tree on the village square, plus snowmen, snow caps on the benches and a few winter birds.
- The lily pond is frozen over. After the season, everything thaws again.
- Snowfall and fireworks follow your graphics setting: on “Low”, only half as many flakes fall.
Ice-hole fishing
- Walk onto the jetty at the pond and cast a short throw west – the ice hole is right there. A glowing ring shows you the spot.
- The four winter species only bite in the ice hole – alongside the usual pond fish, which bite there too.
- Everywhere else on the pond, everything stays as usual – a cast onto the ice just drills a small hole.
- Catch all four species in one winter and you become an Ice-Hole Master: a one-time 300 🐚 + 2 💎.
| Species | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Frost Tench | common |
| Candy Cane Perch | uncommon |
| Snowflake Whitefish | rare |
| Santa Catfish | epic |
The winter species show up in the fishdex but don’t count towards progress – if you don’t play in winter, you miss nothing.
Advent calendar
- In the ⋯ menu (also in the top bar on a computer) you’ll find the advent calendar with 24 doors. Door N opens from December N.
- Behind every door is a small gift: bait, materials or a piece of furniture. On Sundays it’s 2 💎.
- Missed one? No problem: all doors can be opened until January 6.
- If a gift doesn’t fit in your backpack, you get 40 🐚 instead.
- Guests may take a peek. Opening doors needs an account so the calendar can remember every door.
Winter furniture and winter hat
The carpenter offers six winter furnishings for your hut – only during Winter Magic. You’ll find the winter hat among the hats when you change your look – all year round.
| Furniture | Price |
|---|---|
| Fairy lights | 350 🐚 |
| Snowman | 450 🐚 |
| Fur rug | 600 🐚 |
| Wooden sled | 900 🐚 |
| Christmas fir | 1,200 🐚 |
| Tiled stove | 1,800 🐚 + 1 💎 |
You can also find some pieces behind the doors of the advent calendar.
New Year’s Eve
- On December 31 at 23:30, the New Year’s Eve fireworks begin – an event without ranking, 60 minutes long.
- Every few seconds a rocket rises over the bay. At midnight there’s the grand finale.
- Fish, watch, make a wish: the team can also start the fireworks on other evenings.
